Donskoe - the airport of the city of Tambov. Located 10 km northeast of the city center.

Hitory

  • 1970 - Construction of a concrete runway, a road from the city to the airport, aircraft parking, a new terminal building began.
  • 1971 - An-24 aircraft entered service (tail numbers: An-24B 46581, 47269, 47828, 47835; An-24RV 46519, 46657, 46691, 46848, 47800).
  • 1974-1975s - the terminal building and the airport hotel were put into operation.
  • 1980-1990s - there were regular flights to the airports of Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, Leningrad, Donetsk, Sverdlovsk, Simferopol, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Sochi, Nalchik, Ulyanovsk, Volgograd, Nizhnekamsk (with a landing in Kuibyshev), Belgorod , Kharkov, Chelyabinsk, Cheboksary.
  • 1993 - Tambov Aviation Enterprise was renamed into Open Joint Stock Company "AVIATA".
  • With the collapse of the USSR, passenger and freight turnover fell sharply. Flights to Ukraine and Belarus were terminated due to their unprofitableness. In 1997, flights to the East, Sochi and Moscow were canceled. JSC "AVIATA" has been in the stage of bankruptcy since 1997. Many aviation specialists have been laid off or laid off.
  • In order to preserve the aviation enterprise and develop aviation in the Tambov region in 2003, the leadership of the Tambov region made a decision to create the Tambov regional state unitary enterprise "Airport Tambov". In 2008, TOGUP Airport Tambov was corporatized and transformed into an open joint-stock company Airport Tambov. Until December 2010, Region-Avia operated flights from the airport to Moscow on an Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia aircraft

Donskoe airport

  • In 2011, the airport was transferred from federal to regional ownership. On January 11, 2011, Ak Bars Aero began operating regular flights on the route Tambov (Donskoe) - Moscow (Vnukovo) on a Yak-40 aircraft.
  • Since January 1, 2012, Ak Bars Aero has suspended flights from Tambov due to the impossibility of further operation of the outdated Yak-40 aircraft used in this direction.
  • Since April 8, 2012, UTair Aviation has launched a weekly flight on the route Moscow (Vnukovo) - Tambov - Moscow on the An-24 aircraft. Flights are operated twice a day.
  • Since 2013, UTair Aviation has been operating a flight on the Moscow (Vnukovo) - Tambov - Moscow route on an ATR-72 aircraft. For information on flights, check the official websites.
  • Since June 14, 2014, UTair Aviation has been operating a flight on the Tambov - Sochi (Adler) - Tambov route on an ATR-72 plane weekly on Saturdays. Execution period until September 2014.
  • From January 8, 2017, RusLine Airlines JSC operates a flight on the route Moscow (Domodedovo) - Tambov - Moscow on a Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft
  • From March 2018 JSC Air ambulance will appear in the Tambov region Helicopter Mi-8 of the Tambov region
