New airport on our ar! Kogalym Airport is the civil airport of the city of Kogalym. It is located 6.5 km south of Kogalym. It had international status from 12/27/1995 to 30.04.2011.
In the late 70s and early 80s of the XX century, the Kogalym oil region received rapid development, significantly expanding its borders. Then it was decided in 1985 to form a new city of Kogalym.
At the initiative of the LUKOIL oil company, in 1986 the construction of an airport in the city of Kogalym began, which ensured the sustainable and uninterrupted development of oil fields in the Kogalym region of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra by the shift-expeditionary method.
The construction of the airport took place in the shortest possible time, and already in October 1991, Kogalym Airport accepted the first technical flight made on an An-26 aircraft.
February-March 1986 - at the initiative of the First Secretary of the Bashkir Regional Committee of the CPSU Shakirov M.Z. at the congress of the CPSU, it was decided to build an airport in the city of Kogalym to ensure the sustainable development of oil fields in the Kogalym district by the shift-expeditionary method.
At the initiative of the LUKOIL oil company, surveys began in 1980, and in 1986 the construction of the airport in Kogalym itself, which took place as soon as possible.
The research and design of the airport was carried out by the author's team of the GPI and the Aeroproject Research Institute, consisting of Ivanov V.N., Golubykh O.G., Tsvetkov A.V., Pugachev M.I., Chekanovsky L.P., Khresin V.P.

10.10.1991 — the first technical flight on AN AN-26 aircraft (Surgutavia Company) and the opening of regular flights to Neftekamsk and Oktyabrsky.
08/18/1992 — the first passenger flight on the Kogalym - Yekaterinburg route, Surgutavia company;
19.01.1993 — By Resolution of the Kogalym City Administration No. 21, the Airport-Kogalym Limited Liability Partnership was registered.
02.02.1993 — Kogalym Airport LLP left the company Surgutavia and became an independent airport.
05/25/1993 — technical flight on TU-134 and the start of flights to Tyumen, Moscow, Krasnodar and Mineralnye Vody.
02.07.1993 — technical flight TU-154, the beginning of regular flights on TU-154 to Ufa, Samara, Kazan, Sochi.
08/26/1993 — reception and maintenance of the first IL-76 aircraft;
12/27/1995 — By Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1763-r dated 12/27/95, Kogalym Airport is open for international flights
04/22/1996 — Kogalym Airport LLP was transformed into Kogalym International Airport LLC (Resolution of the Kogalym City Administration dated 04/22/96 No. 144)
02.06.1996 — the first international flight on the Kogalym - Budapest route was performed from Kogalym Airport (Kogalymavia Airlines LLC);

13.06.2002 — LLC "MAK" by order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation No. NA -206r was allowed to receive and service AN-124-100 ("Ruslan"). February 20, 2003 - reception of the first AN-124-100 Ruslan aircraft, the flight was made on the route Anadyr-Kogalym-Diaghilev-Sescha.
2002 — the complete replacement of the Candle-3 lighting equipment with the Finnish Idman lighting system was carried out.
On January 13, 2006, by Order of the FAFT, Kogalym Airport was allowed to receive Boeing-757-200, Boeing-737-300, and Boeing-737-500 aircraft.
On 05.03.2006, a Canadian-made Bell-430 helicopter landed for flights from Kogalym Airport
November 08, 2007 — reception of the AN-124-100 Ruslan aircraft (7 h. 18 min.), CJSC POLET Airlines, b/n No.82014, flight number - 9620, route - St. Petersburg-Kogalym-Ulyanovsk. The customer is Instar Logistics LLC.
The plane delivered a gas turbine for the November combined-cycle power plant. The turbine of the power plant is made in France, capable of withstanding temperature changes from minus 60 to plus 30 degrees. The dimensions of the turbine are 4.05x4.07x12.4, weight - 100t. The height of the cargo compartment of the aircraft is 4.4, the width is 6.4.
09/24/2009 — reception and maintenance of the first Boeing B-737-200 aircraft, EAST AIR CJSC, b/n No.EY533, flight number - ETJ - 3227, Khujand - Kogalym - Khujant route.
03/21/2010 — reception and maintenance of the first Boeing B-737-500 aircraft, JSC ATK Yamal Airline, used VPBRS, flight number - LLM - 9829/30, route Moscow - Kogalym - Moscow.
On May 12, 2010, by Order of TMTU VT No. PM-48-MTU, Kogalym Airport was allowed to receive the aircraft CL-600-2B19 (Challenger 850), . AN-148 and its modifications, AN-140 and its modifications
On June 18, 2010, Kogalym Airport was allowed to receive aircraft A-319-100, A-320-200.
Since 1997, Kogalym International Airport LLC has been a participant in all international competitions.
1997 — at the competition held by the Airport Association - "The best airport of the year" - the III prize place.
2002 — awarded the title of "LEADER OF THE REGIONAL ECONOMY" in the nomination "Highly efficient enterprise in the air transport industry".
2002, 2005 and 2006 — participating in the All-Russian competition "Russian organization of high social efficiency", the team was awarded Diplomas of the Government of the Russian Federation for achievements in the organization of social work.
2005 — awarded the "Golden Certificate of the Patron".
2006. awarded the international prize "Leader of economic development of Russia" in the nomination "Leader of economic growth". The airport was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the laureate, a Certificate and a Statuette.
On May 22, 2007, the winner of the competition, "The best airport of the CIS member countries" for 2006, held by the Airport Association, in the nomination "Promising airport". The airport was awarded a Certificate of Honor, a Cup was awarded.
All airport activities are related to its specifics:
servicing passengers working by the shift-forwarding method for the development of oil fields in the Kogalym district, including for NK LUKOIL;
transportation of national economic goods for oil workers, residents of the Far North and the Far East;
serving the indigenous population of the region;
business aviation.
