The scenario of Ulan-Ude (UIUU) Baikal airport for X-Plane 12!

Good news for virtual pilots and fans of Siberian aviation: a detailed scenario of Baikal International Airport (Ulan-Ude), one of the key air hubs in Eastern Siberia, is now available in X-Plane 12!

The airport is located just 15 km west of the center of Ulan-Ude and 75 km from Lake Baikal. Since 2017, it has had the fifth degree of freedom of the sky, which allows it to accept international transit flights, and from the end of 2024, it will serve passengers in a new modern terminal built with the support of VEB.Russian Federation and designed for 400 passengers per hour.

The history of the Ulan-Ude air harbor dates back more than a hundred years: the first planes landed here back in 1925, and regular flights to Ulaanbaatar opened in 1926. Since then, the airport has been upgraded several times, from a concrete runway in 1971 and receiving Tu—154 aircraft in 1981 to the construction of a second runway in 2018 for 4 billion rubles. Today, it is capable of receiving any type of aircraft, including long-haul airliners, and serves as an important communication point for remote areas of Buryatia.

Now you can experience all this history and modernity in X-Plane 12! The script recreates:

- both runways with precise markings and modern lighting equipment,
- new terminal in 2024,
- realistic navigation and airfield infrastructure,
- surroundings with views of Selenga and the remote foothills of Lake Baikal.

Get ready to fly on routes that once connected Moscow with Vladivostok, Irkutsk with Chita, and today connect Ulan-Ude with Novosibirsk, Seoul, Bangkok and other points in Asia and Europe.

Welcome to Baikal airport, where history meets the sky!
